( It's cold. It's the less human version that Basil has seen of Kazuya. He'd feel that such words would be cold, should he speak them. However, he also understands that the logic that demons has is far different than humans do.
A few more-- The words are met with a shuddered breath, a panic that he tries not to let show. He knows he needs to stay calm.
It doesn't take long for that pressure to return, noises escaping him before he can even think to stop himself. He turns on his side, taking in a breath, gripping onto Kazuya's hand tightly as his vision blurs once more. At the least, the first egg helped him learn to focus on anything except for the pain. Another hand moves to grip tightly at sheets. The next egg will pass through at any given second, but the pain in the meantime feels almost unbearable. )
